Antonio Machado’s classroom

Description

The classroom where Antonio Machado used to teach from 1912 to 1919 is preserved in the same columned court.
In this high Andalusia, which seemed “humid and cold” at the beginning, he rooted his philosophical roots and he wrote an important part of his works.
The classroom is preserved as Machado’s times: the same ground, the old maps on the walls, the tables of the students, the copies of the documents, the same old blackboard and the teacher chair; some old books are closed in a cabinet and an umbrella with a bag represent the setting of the second decade of the twentieth century.
