The city of Baeza, globally recognized as one of the cradles of Hispanic humanism, has an extraordinary cultural legacy that has crystallized in multiple deeply rooted traditions. Like many other nearby cities, the passion that the people of Baeza have shown for the world of bullfighting is reflected in a rich bullfighting heritage, rich in architectural elements, documentary sources, and objects that are now brought together in this symbolic space of the Baezano bullring. This exhibition space complements the cultural offer that Baeza provides and recovers for the enjoyment of the people of Baeza part of their lesser-known history. Inside, the visitor will approach the fascinating world of bullfighting and its relationship with our city. The province of Jaén, due to its geographical location and physical conditions, mainly the proximity to Sierra Morena, has been extraordinary for the breeding of fighting bulls. Therefore, a multitude of breeders from the rest of Spain move in winter to the pasture areas of our province, seeking a milder climate.
