The city of Baeza, recognized worldwide as one of the cradles of Hispanic humanism, has an extraordinary cultural legacy that has crystallized in multiple deeply rooted traditions. Like many other nearby cities, the passion that the people of Baeza have shown with the world of bullfighting has been reflected in an extensive bullfighting heritage, rich in architectural elements, documentary sources and objects that are now gathered in this symbolic space of the Baez bullring. This exhibition space complements the cultural offer that Baeza offers and recovers part of its most unknown history for the enjoyment of the people of Baeza. Inside, the visitor will approach the exciting world of bullfighting and its relationship with our city. The province of Jaén, due to its geographical location and physical constraints, mainly the vicinity of Sierra Morena, has been extraordinary for raising wild cattle. So the multitude of farmers from the rest of Spain move in winter to the dehesa areas of our province, looking for a milder climate.
