Palace Square

In the 15th century, there is evidence that near the cathedral there was a bishop’s house and a residence for bishops in the nearby town of Begíjar, which was in use during the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries. A few meters away is the Church of San Juan Evangelista, a late Romanesque church, which was abandoned until its disappearance. In 2007, the preserved remains were returned to the concept of the ‘original space’.
